Backyard bonfires are one of my favorite ways to spend summer and fall afternoons. They’re great for relaxing with friends and family, or even having an evening to yourself. Choosing the best fire pit chairs can make a world of difference when it comes to creating a comfortable space to hang out.

Adirondack Best Fire Pit Chairs

When searching for the best fire pit chairs, one style you should definitely consider is Adirondack. They’re a popular choice and for good reason. With spacious seats, reclined backs, and armrests, these chairs are some of the most comfortable outdoor seats out there.

1. Polywood Chairs

Combining the traditional look of wood with the durability of recycled plastic, Polywood offers some of the highest-rated products on the market. Aside from occasional cleaning, they’re very low-maintenance. They also come in a variety of colors, ranging from bright to neutral. The cheapest chair starts at around $258.

2. Funberry Folding Chairs

Another option similar to the Polywood chairs is this one, by Funberry. Although not recycled, they’re also made of high-density plastic. They don’t offer as many colors as Polywood, but they do have two additional perks. They fold for easy storage and they have built-in cupholders. They’re also significantly cheaper, starting at around $155 per chair.

3. Greenvines Lounge Chairs

For even more comfort, there are also Adirondack lounge chairs. This one by Greenvines has a footrest to stretch your legs out and a cupholder in the armrest for drinks. It’s also foldable, which makes it great for storage. They come in a set of two for $399, or around $200 per chair.

4. Outdoor Interiors Eucalyptus Chairs

If you want a traditional wood Adirondack chair, the Outdoor Interiors option is one of the best fire pit chairs you can buy. It is made from eucalyptus, which is a popular choice for outdoor furniture. It also has an ottoman that can be folded out to make it into a lounge chair. Being wood, it will require more maintenance than cleaning, such as regular oiling. They also won’t last as long. With this option, each chair will cost you around $256.

Rocking Best Fire Pit Chairs

Rockers are another popular design that makes the best fire pit chairs. The comfortable design and soothing movement of a rocking chair is perfect for relaxed evenings around the fire for all ages.

5. Greenvines Outdoor Rocking Chair

In addition to Adirondack chairs, Greenvines also offers outdoor rocking chairs. Similar to the others, they’re also made of polyethylene, a type of plastic. With high reclined backs, they may offer more comfort than other available options. There are five different color options for the sets. But, for individual purchases, only grey or white are available for $190 per chair.

6. Psilvam Patio Rocking Chair

If you’re looking for brighter color options, similar to what Polywood offers, check out the Psilvam rocker. You can buy individual chairs in eight different colors, including bright blue and red. They also have wide slats at the back for more airflow. As for price, they’re around the same, at $199 per chair.

7. hOmeHue Patio Rocking Chair

Another great option is the hOmeHue patio rocking chairs. They have many of the same benefits the other plastic chairs offer but at a lower price. They start at $179 per chair, depending on the color.

Best Metal Fire Pit Chairs

Some of the best fire pit chairs are made of metal, such as aluminum or iron. These materials hold up well outdoors and can serve you for several years.

8. Bigget Wrought Iron Bistro Chairs

Made from wrought iron, the Bigget patio chairs are a sturdy choice for an outdoor fire pit. They also have a polished look and a backing with an interesting geometric design. Another perk includes the option to stack them for easy storage. They come in sets of two, with each pair costing around $110, or $55 each.

9. Christopher Knight Cast Aluminum Chairs

Another metal option for the best fire pit chairs is by Christopher Knight. Rather than iron, these are cast aluminum. Both are very durable materials, each with their own pros and cons. One upside to aluminum chairs is they’re lighter and easier to move. For example, these chairs are 18.7 lbs. each compared to 35 for the Bigget. Being powder-coated aluminum, they’re also less likely to corrode. They are more expensive, however, with a two-piece set costing $223 ($112 per chair).

10. Giantex Folding Patio Chairs

For more portable chairs, the Giantex patio seats are a great choice. They’re recognized for being light but sturdy, with each chair weighing around 10.6 lbs. They’re easy to fold and store when not in use. They also have a powder-coated steel frame and a breathable mesh-like seat and are very affordable. You can purchase a set of two for less than $100, or around $50 each.
